Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of Trustle, a product of Zortle Labs ("we", "us", "our"). Please read them carefully before using the platform. If you have questions, contact us at hello@trustle.in.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Trustle (trustle.in), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-platform notice.
2. Who can use Trustle
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or list a property. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Account responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
One account per person
You may not create multiple accounts or transfer your account to another person without our written consent.
3. For landlords — listing a property
Accuracy
All information in your listing must be accurate and up to date. This includes photos, rent amount, location, furnishing status, and amenities. Misleading listings will be removed and your account may be suspended.
Ownership
By listing a property, you confirm that you are its legal owner, or a relative or caretaker managing it with the owner's explicit authorisation — and you must say which when you list. At the verification visit, the Trustle reviewer may ask to see proof of ownership, such as a building tax receipt or electricity bill in the owner's name. It is only looked at, never copied or stored.
No brokers or agents
Trustle is for owners renting directly to tenants. Brokers, agents and anyone acting for a commission may not list properties or ask tenants for a brokerage fee. If a listing is found to be posted by a broker, or the ownership declaration is false, the listing will be removed without a refund of any fees paid, and the account and phone number may be permanently banned.
Availability
You must update or deactivate your listing promptly when the property is rented or no longer available. Listings for properties that are already rented or occupied will be removed.
Verification
Trustle reserves the right to review, approve, reject, or remove any listing at its sole discretion. Approval is not guaranteed and does not constitute an endorsement of the landlord or property.
Prohibited listings
You may not list properties you do not own or are not authorised to rent, properties that are unsafe or uninhabitable, properties involved in ongoing legal disputes, or properties misrepresented in any way.
4. For tenants — using the platform
Information accuracy
You must provide accurate information when contacting landlords and creating your account. Misrepresentation — including false identity, employment, or occupancy information — may result in account suspension.
Contact use
Landlord contact details accessed through the platform must be used solely for enquiring about the listed property. You must not use contact details for unsolicited marketing, harassment, or any other purpose.
No guarantee of tenancy
Trustle facilitates introductions between tenants and landlords. We are not a party to any rental agreement and do not guarantee that a landlord will accept any tenancy application.
Payment safety
Never pay any deposit, advance, or fee to a landlord without visiting the property in person and verifying ownership documents. Trustle is not responsible for financial losses arising from fraudulent transactions between users.
5. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings or information; scrape, copy, or republish content from the platform without permission; attempt to circumvent the platform to avoid verification (e.g. redirecting tenants to off-platform payment methods); harass, threaten, or abuse other users; use the platform for any unlawful purpose; or attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the platform.
6. Trustle's role
We are a platform, not an agent
Trustle is a technology platform that connects landlords and tenants. We are not a real estate agent, broker, or party to any rental agreement between users. We do not hold deposits, collect rent, or mediate disputes.
Verification is not a guarantee
Our listing verification process reduces — but does not eliminate — the risk of fraudulent or inaccurate listings. Tenants should always conduct their own due diligence, including visiting properties in person and independently verifying ownership documents.
We do not provide legal advice
Nothing on Trustle constitutes legal, financial, or rental advice. Information about rental norms, tenant rights, and agreements is provided for general guidance only. Consult a qualified professional for specific advice.
7. Intellectual property
Platform content
The Trustle brand, logo, design, and platform code are owned by Trustle and may not be reproduced or used without written permission.
User content
By uploading photos or content to Trustle, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and use that content on the platform and in related marketing materials. You retain ownership of your content.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Trustle shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to financial loss from rental transactions, property damage, or disputes between users.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Trustle (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or any conduct we deem harmful to other users or the platform.
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Termination does not affect any obligations that arose before the termination date.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kottayam, Kerala.
